We are always looking for new members. To join us, you need to meet the following criteria:

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Have a valid NJ EMT card or a valid National Registry EMT card.
• Have a valid Professional Level CPR Card
• Be able to perform physical activities such as lifting.
• Be able to commit the time to ride on a schedule.

As a volunteer your training cost is covered by a New Jersey Training Fund.  Local EMS Training centers are located in Mahwah and Paramus.  Please contact us for details.

You do NOT need to be a Bergenfield resident in order to join but we do have a limit on the percentage of out of town members we can accept.

You do NOT need to have any prior experience before joining us. You will be paired with an experienced crew that will help you get up to speed.

You do NOT need to have a driver's license but having one is preferred.
